hostby.net is a uk-based service that was started in late December 2006.
Our mission
We are quality web hosting enthusiasts. Our organisation provides hosting that competes with the best that professionals offer, but at far lower costs. To do this we aim to be different from other organisations and business in our sector by providing a high quality service that focuses on getting the basics right.
Our network
We rent all of our servers. They are all guaranteed to be paid for at least a year
in advance. We run 2 servers both of which are based in the UK.
We are committed to providing the best network to our users. In order to achieve
this we will rent additional servers and services as needed and ultimately purchase
our own servers.
Why Enthusiasts?
Essentially this service is something i’m running in my space time, in between various study and work commitments in the hope it will earn me a little bit of money. I see little point in pretending, like some web hosts, that this is a professional outfit, its not.
However the people who use our service are happy with it, and often find they have a better experience than with a so called “professional” host.
